Dear Homeowner,
Do you have nightmares about home repair? You know, those awful dreams where everything is broken at once, the bills adding up, and a constant invasion of repairmen is streaming through your house? If you wake up from those nightmares only to discover that your reality is actually worse than the dream, I have a story to share with you.
Many years ago, we would scurry away in a panic at the mere mention of any household repair that required a tool and some know-how. Calling the necessary army of plumbers, carpenters, and electricians in to help fix the problem always seemed too daunting and forbidding. So, we just lived with the problems...more and more problems. They just kept adding up...or, as the case was, falling down!
Finally, the day came when we had enough and we decided to take control of our home.
We started learning how to fix what was broken at our own personal School of Hard Hammers and Bent Nails. We became the General Contractor for our home. Previously terrified of anything that even remotely looked like a power tool, we learned everything we needed to know to master household repairs, fix-its, and new building projects. It took time and we definitely made plenty of mistakes-but, over the years we began to make less and less mistakes.
In fact, we actually become an expert at do-it-yourself home repairs. Once terrified of tools, now we both are master carpenters and experienced woodworkers. Once just living with the mess, now we have been able to transform our homes into castles with our very own hands. - So, today we are here to help any of you who have a similar story.
- We are here to help any of you who have household fix-it projects that you just haven't gotten around to.
- We are here today to help clear up the mystery that surrounds tools, fixing, and remodeling.
